Using WSCA Contract for 3Com Product and Service Purchase

Information on WSCA.

The Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) is a multi-state contracting consortium of state governments including local governments, the State of Hawaii is a participating member. The mission of WSCA is to implement multi-state contracts to achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services.

The State of Utah, lead agency and contract administrator for the Data Communications Equipment and Services contract, issued a competitive sealed proposal on behalf of WSCA and awarded contracts to qualified vendors. A key objective of this procurement was to obtain greater volume price discounts by combining the volume of purchases from governmental entities within multiple states with administrative savings that will result from the maintenance of a single, comprehensive price agreement for each selected contractor. The Hawaii State Procurement Office (SPO), on behalf of the executive branch and the purchasing jurisdictions listed below, has joined the WSCA Data Communication Equipment and Service contract.

Warranty Information:

3Com’s standard product warranties apply to all puchases made off the WSCA contract. The term of the warranty varies by product.
To arrange for repair or replacement of a defective product, contact 3Com’s Corporate Service Center at (800) 876-3266.

Purchase Order Instructions:

All WSCA prices include shipping, but do not include Hawaii State Excise Tax. Add 4.166% Hawaii State Excise Tax. Purchase Orders shall be issued and payments made directly to the resellers listed below. Select one of the authorized resellers listed below and address the orders to:

Quarterly sales reports are submitted to the WSCA Contract Administrator and the State of Hawaii.

3Com pays a WSCA Administration Fee equal to one tenth of one percent (.10%) of all contract sales. This fee is submitted to the WSCA Contract Administrator from the State of Utah on a quarterly basis.
