Setup for Makani Connection via FYI

Before the installation, make sure you have the Windows 95/98 CD or diskettes available. Nowadays, most computers have the Windows 95/98 cab files stored on the hard disk. If your cab files are not already on your hard drive, you may want to take this opportunity to save them now, it will take approximately 210 MB of space. Then, you won't need to have the CD or diskettes every time you make a system change.

Directions: (For Visual Setup)

Step 1: Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, HyperTerminal

Step 2: Double-click on HyperTerminal Icon

Step 3: Enter Hawaii FYI as the name of your new connection

Step 4: Enter FYI's phone number--587-4800

Step 5: Click on Dial to test your connection

Step 6: If successfully, you will see the welcome screen

Step 7: After you exit the FYI system, you will be prompted to save the Hawaii FYI connection. Click YES to save the settings.

Step 8: Done! The Hawaii FYI icon will be added to your Hyperterminal group for future use.
