Welcome to the State of Hawaii - DOE Spam Manager Site

The Hawaii Dept Of Education (DOE) Anti-Spamming Service

We are now using the Messagelabs Spam Manager service. It works pretty much the same as the Frontbridge/Spamshark system.

The anti-spamming system scans all incoming email to our network and any email deemed as spam/junk mail gets filtered out and stored on the Messagelab servers in a quarantine mailbox for the user. Legitimate email gets forwarded to our network for delivery to the final destination.

To view your spam mail, you can go to their web site at https://spammanager-3.messagelabs.com and log in. This gives you the opportunity to check if any legitimate email got inadvertently filtered out and to see the spam mail destined for you. The spam mail is held for 5 days before it gets deleted from the Spam Manager mailbox. Cases of legitimate email getting filtered out as spam has been miniscule but this is why one has the opportunity to view their spam mail.

The first time you visit the https://spammanager-3.messagelabs.com site you will NOT have a password. Just type in your email address such as John_Doe@notes.k12.hi.us for the login name field, leave the password field blank, and click on the login button. A password will be emailed to you which can then be used to log into your Spam Manager account. You will also have the opportunity to change the password to whatever you desire. Thereafter, you can periodically login to check on any spam mail that got filtered out or just let the anti-spam system do its job and not bother with it. If you need assistance with Spam Manager, please send E-mail to nssb@k12.hi.us. Thank you!
