Uploading files to the public_html

When all your webpages are done, its time to publish your final product and make it viewable on the internet.

For PC, using a SSH Secure Shell software to connect to makani

1) Download SSH software.

2) Install SSH software (procedure how to install and use SSH).

3) Once logged on, you need to copy ALL html files and images to your public_html directory. If not placed in the public html file, it will not be readable by the browser.

For Mac, using Fugu software to connect to makani

1) Download Fugu software.

2) Install Fugu software (procedure how to install and use Fugu).

3) Once logged on, you need to copy ALL html files and images to your public_html directory. If not placed in the public html file, it will not be readable by the browser.

After all your webpages have been uploaded. Exit out of your SSH or Fugu software and open up your browser to view your work.

Your url address will be: www.k12.hi.us/~username

If your webpage does not come up as planned, check to make sure you copied your files to the right directory. Then hit reload in your browser.

If that still doesn't work, send an email to NSSB .
